I am currently running e-Sword 10.4 and now cannot download a Bible, so it looks like I will have to upgrade.
My question is, "Do I have to change all my Bible/Commentary/... files? I remember when e-Sword 11 came out, I read that I needed to change the files because the structure had changed.
I don't want to loose the modules that I have? What is required?
Please advise!

Other files seem to upload fine. Any suggestions?

Hi I am using Tooltip and want to know if its possible to make chapter/books without abbreviations (example: "Gen 3:15" to simply show as "3:15"). I dont want the book name abbreviations to show up.
OR if its possible, to change the book name abbreviations?
I am trying to make a test module for something completely different (not scripture), and would like to either rename the books, but if thats not possible than I will be happy with just removing the book name altogether from showing and just have the chapter and verse only.
Is it possible to make a module with 114 "books" instead of the 66 (or more with Apocrypha)?
Any help with this would be greatly appreciated!

Last night a fellow user of e-Sword and Tooltip asked me about how chapters are numbered is topic files. When using the automatic numbering system in Tooltip, the chapters are numbered using 3 digits like this: 001, 002, 003 etc. The first zero on the left remains when a modules has 10 or more chapters and the numbers look like this 010, 011, 012 etc.
Is there a way to drop the first zero on the left to create just 2 digit chapter numbers? Such as 01, 02, 03 an 10, 11, 12 etc?
One module I would have like to have is the Modern English Version of the Bible. I have already been in touch with eStudySource as it would have been a Premium Bible but they would neither confirm or deny that this Bible was under consideration as a module - have to pray they think it is worthwhile to produce. I have viewed/used it a bit from BibleGateway and have enjoyed it.

I have installed the Whedon cmtx on my win 10 system and on my android phone. On the phone it contains the verse notes but on the Win 10 system no verse notes. I have tried reinstalling from a new download but no change. Anyone else have this problem or have a suggestion of way to correct it? BTW the Win 10 file is 159,959 Kb installed.
PS Not sure why or how but Whedon is now working after my morning bootup. Have to put it down to a gremlin in the system. Got to love Windows.

I'm trying to download (purchase) the NASB, which says I need a product key from the Lockman foundation.... but when I click the button to purchase on the pop-up window it doesn't do anything.
Am I doing anything wrong? or any known issues with this?

All the Apps I've created to work in conjunction with e-Sword:
are all boarderless Windows forms. When these forms are boarderless (if you used them), you will have noticed that they cannot be moved around the screen to where you would like it. So, bearing that in mind, when the next version of e-Sword comes out, the boarderless form will be modified to where you, the user, will be able to move it around to where you want it.
Also, the Menu Installer may be getting a bit of a GUI revamp, in where I'm thinking of adding a splash screen, and a flat UI slide out menu which will contain the dropdown combo boxes for the resources.
There also me be a bit of a UI revamp with the conversion calculators in where I'm seriously thinking about banging in a splash screen for them.
There will be released a new edition of all the user guides for these programs. I think this is something that is overdue to happen.
If anyone has a suggestion of something they would like to see added, in particular, to the e-Sword Menu Installer, let me know in your responses below.
And finally, I'm thinking of giving a new skin to the Menu Installer, so if you can find a cool image for it, type in the link of it, and I'll have a good look at it.

I just installed several of H.C.G. Moule's resource modules into e-sword, and one of them is not working properly. The text appears blacked out/redacted. I have attached a pic as an example below.
Has anyone else run into this?

am trying to install Calvin's commentary on my PC esword, but after installation, i still do not see the file in my esword folder or the esword app

I am in need of some guidance. I bought a new computer and need to install e-Sword on it. How do I do this. I tried to find it in the User Manual, but did not find it. I would like to avoid reloading all my resources and I do not want to lose my purchases that I have downloaded. Also, I use the Topic Journal and have run into a problem. When I get several entries and go to save, I receive an error message and lose not only that attempted entry, but the entire subject thread. And, bear with me, one more thing: How do I backup my journal entries, my study notes and my topic entries. This is a lot of help needed, so please be gentle. I am old school, active pastor for 60 years, but I am learning. Thanks for any help offered. Tommy Simmons
When the “Compare” tab is active, the program displays abbreviations of the titles of Bible translations on the screen.
What needs to be changed in the settings in order that full titles may be displayed (the tiles which are displayed when the mouse cursor hovers above the tabs of Bible versions)?
I am unable to install " eSword ToolTip NT 2020.04.11" onto Windows 10 due to this error message:
I know the ToolTip works on Win10 as I have used it in the past.

I have deleted all .bblx files (including the default KJV files) in the program’s directory because I wanted to put new Bible files there. When I started the program before putting the new files, a window appeared saying that the program was being configured and that a restart would be needed. At the end, I restarted the computer. When I tried to launch the program several times, it was frozen. So I uninstalled the program and installed it again. The newly installed program was again freezing. Therefore, I terminated the program’s process in Task Manager, uninstalled the program, deleted all entries in the Registry Editor which contain the word “e-sword” (there were very many of them in the entire registry), deleted all “e-sword” folders in the system’s folder AppData, restarted the computer, and tried to install the program again. When I ran the installation file, a window appeared saying: “The configuration data for this product is corrupt. Contact your support personnel.”
How can I properly run the installation file in order that the program may be installed and may work properly?

I am trying to download various Spanish bible versions, but all the files are EXE format and my Mac and iPad are no compatible. How can I obtain more bible version downloads from what the Esword x or HD app has to offer? I am new at this and do not know how to import any other version if possible to the app. Can anyone please help me?

When I press Ctrl + F in the window of any Bible version, and then search for a word, no results are shown. It seems that the search does not work, even though the search window still opens when Ctrl + F is pressed. Does something need to be changed in the settings in order that the search may work?
Hello everyone. I really hope someone can help me with this. For some reason within my esword window (on my mac) if i have a any bible version, or any commentary, or any other screen open looking at content and I spend maybe 30 seconds without scrolling, when I do scroll the content goes away and I have to switch pages and go back for the content to reappear. The picture shows a commentary where this has happened. If I click the "chapter" button and then click back to the "verse" button the content will reappear but only for maybe another 30 seconds until I scroll again. Hopefully someone has some answers. thank you!
