Idea: e-sword for ereaders with open systems
Hi,
I have been thinking about porting and modding e-sword or mysword to linux, so it can be ran on eink based e-readers like Kobo and Kindle, which have the possibility to run custom firmwares (KOReader is an example of custom software). Transforming it into a dedicated portable Bible study device, with e-ink screen and long battery life.
I'm absolutely sure it is possible.![:)]()

TWOT - not available for E-Sword due to copywrite issues?

Anyone know what's up with Theological Wordbook of the Old Testament TWOT?
I watched a few tutorials for e-sword (I found on youtube) and found out it used to be available and sounds interesting but it cannot even be purchased for e-Sword. I can purchase and use it on theWord program but I don't want to change. I have already purchased some items that I use and I don't want to switch.
Any clue if it will ever become available again? Any other thoughts on the subject?

Parallel Bible with various languages?
Hi,
Is there a way to have compare/parallel Bibles, for KJV and CUV and TR/MT?
Currently, it only allows me to check KJV KJV+.
other software like theWord could compare Bibles in various languages, but I prefer if E-Sword has it.

Incorrect Scripture rreference in Morning and Evening?
I'm reading through the Evening devotionals of Dr. Spurgeon this year and think I may have found a mistake in today's reading. Here is the first line: "The iron did swim." — 2Ki_6:9
That quote is not to be found in verse nine but is rather located up in verse six. Please correct me if I'm looking at this wrong.

Next Verse in Parallel view?
This is a very basic question to which I cannot find an answer. When viewing a verse in Parallel mode, how do I move to the following verse without moving back to the standard viewing? (i.e. John 1:1 to John 1:2) The "next verse" function is for moving back and forth between verses previously viewed. How do I one click to the following verse?

.exe vs zip
I have noticed that the .exe modules are much smaller then the same module in .zip format. Does the zip module have more information then the .exe format? When I create an exe file its larger then the same amount of data made into in a zip format, just the opposite.

I had asked if there would be a module for the AENT from the publisher...and this is the answer I received...Shalom Glenn, we tried to work with Rick at E-sword however he wouldn't support us...does anyone know why e sword will not support this module?

E-Sword Premium Bibles On Multiple Computers?
Does anyone know if I'm allowed to install the premium Bible's I purchased on more than one computer? I'd love to sync all my files, resources and study notes on my laptop and desktop PC's.

PC to iPad
Just bought an iPad Pro. Heretofore, I have used a Dell PC and all of my e-Sword notes, etc are on that PC running ES 11.1. So how do I get my notes, etc to the iPad? Believe the current files are compatible with the iPad so no conversion necessary (?) I use GoogleDrive but don't think I can D/L the files from there with am iPad (?). Need some help. Thanks.

Unable to download any modules it just sits there
I have E-Sword 11.1.0 installed. When selecting a module from the download manager it shows the module that was selected but when I click start from the download menu nothing happens I have uninstalled and reinstalled with the same results

Baker's New Testament Commentary (Hendriksen & Kistemaker)
Greetings,
Unfortunately- I missed the opportunity a few years ago to buy the Baker's New Testament Commentary (Hendriksen & Kistemaker) thru estudysource. I have heard such great recommendations on it and am hoping this might be offered again? Does anyone know the reason it was stopped or if there is a way to petition its release again? It is offered thru other digital bible software but I love the esword format and think it's superior to the really expensive stuff. Any help appreciated.

Why New English Translation is a paid download?
I used e-sword for a few months now and recently I tried to download New English Translation and found we need to pay for this translation. Could someone explain why? In their own web site （ NET), they mentioned they are free. And I know NET is free in Youversion too. Why it is not in E-sword?

Brief, VERY BRIEF, devotion
Hello:
I am looking for help and don't know if I am even on the right forum. If I've missed the mark please direct me to the form I need to be on.
My need: I have been asked to meet with our church security team, a group of about 15 police officers, each Sunday. I have been asked to bring an encouraging devotion each meeting. I have been give a very short period of time to do this in, 5 to 7 minutes.
I am looking for material that I can download and use with MySword, but I don't even know if anything like this exists. An alternative would be to use material from ESword "if" it exists and "if" it can be converted (those are two big "if" statements that I am hoping can also be answered).

Corrupted LXX/GreekOT
Hi my first post, tried emailing for response weeks ago but no reply.
Long story short, the hard drive in my laptop crashed and I had to format my computer with new hard drive, thus I lost my original eSword files (don't know version either). So I installed the latest version 11.1.0 and have issues with copy/paste using ctrl+c. It will work sometimes and give me an error most times and it was getting annoying as I use this software for copy/paste verses while doing online Bible studies.
So I searched and downloaded an older version, 11.0.6 and works fine, no issues with copy/paste, but the Greek OT/LXX is corrupted and all I see is a bunch of square boxes instead of text. Some verses show up but about 95% of it is boxes. The latest edition 11.1.0 did not have this issue which makes me think its a problem with the version of software I got?
It also seems maybe the files are now different as my OLD eSword (before computer crashed) had the titles LXX and LXX+ for the Greek OT, but now the new ones show Greek OT, and Greek OT+. Tried redownloading, deleting etc., and nothing seems to work. Maybe they updated the files through the esword download tab? Any way to find the older ones again? Or any way to fix this issue?
