How Come I cannot download the modules on the weekend in Malaysia?

Thanks

Christopher Wordsworth Commentary and Bible Translation

I was wondering if anyone has been working on another one of the great Bible Commentary sets (which includes his translation of the Bible) by Christopher Wordsworth.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christopher_Wordsworth

Logos appears to be working on some of his materials, such as his Ecclesiastical History and the OT set --

www.logos.com/products/search?Author=17599%7CChristopher+Wordsworth

These books are in public domain (with several of his other ones) at --

https://archive.org/search.php?query=creator%3A%22Wordsworth%2C%20Christopher%2C%201807-1885%22

Google also has these at --

Some time ago there was an Online Bible module completed that had the minor prophets portion of the commentary. I could extract the text if anyone needs it to start.

related hebrew/greek words

Hi All

If I want to do a search for a particular Greek word for not only that word but different forms of its usage how do I do it?

For example example you search for elektos then a related word would be eklegomai. Now strong's occasionally points to some derivations of a word - but mostly it doesn't. Even if it shows we have to do a search one by one manually.

Is there a way to specify that when we search for a word to give the related words as well? This would be a very good feature to have

J. B. Phillips

J. B. Phillips: The New Testament in Modern English:   Time ago, we had this wonderful version in e-sword. Then I believe it was withdrawn due to copyright matters.

Recently I have found  the following places:

http://www.ccel.org/bible/phillips/JBPhillips.htm

and here it speaks about copyright:

http://www.ccel.org/bible/phillips/JBPhillipsCopyright.htm

where it seems the possibility  of having thew anew. (Since we had them, I suppose it wont´t be so difficult, although i believe it was not a complete version)

I love this  version, one of the most christian I have found. (I got two paperbacks it!).

greetings

Hyperlinks in .cmtx files using Tool Tips

Hello all,

I'm creating a .ctmx file and am running into a bit of an irritation w.r.t. hyperlinked text with Tool Tip NT.  Am hoping someone has already figured out a solution.

I start out with an MS Word file that has multiple hyperlinks.  Let's assume that word "hyperlink" in the last sentence was one of them, and when I mouse click on it, the web browser opens and takes me to the appropriate web page.

Then I copy and paste the contents of the Word file into Tool Tips NT and take the necessary steps to create a .cmtx file.  I can then view my work in E-Sword, but the program requires me to use CTRL + CLICK in order to follow the link.  I want to simply click on the link to make the magic happen.

I can use the INSERT > LINK process in Tool Tips to create the desired effect, but as I have many, many links already set up in the Word document, I'd prefer to avoid the extra effort.

Appreciate any help, and THANKS in advance!

Reading bbli / cmti into ToolTip

Is it possible to read bbli and cmti modules into ToolTip?

It is so much easier to use ToolTip than other utilities to edit these modules.

Reading a bbl file, ToolTip stops at #define nt=NULL

Reading a dcti file, it stops at #define version=1

Creating E-Sword HD Bible Modules from your PC

Hi everyone.

I am creating this post to help E-Sword HD user to convert Bible, Commentary, Dictionary modules on their PC to IPAD format and then use it on their IPADs.

Installing Bible Modules for E-sword HD on IPAD

Let’s face it. Support for E-sword HD is not that great. Let’s hope this post will help you to stand on your own legs. The following is an example of converting an E-sword bible module (that you already own on your pc)  to IPAD version and then transferring that file to your IPAD.

Note: This document is distributed just to help the Esword HD users out there who own their own modules.

I am not responsible for any loss incurred from the use of the information in this document or for any copyright infringements.

  1. Download and Open the e-sword HD IOS convertor utility (http://www.e-sword.net/extras.html>> IOS Convertor) and you will have a window open up.
  2. From the window, choose the esword Bible module (.bblx extension) on your PC that would like to convert, so that you can use it on your IPAD. Ideally those files should be in the Esword folder on your PC.
  3. Click the convert button and the module conversion process begins. This software will create a new module for IPAD with the extension ” .bbli” in the same folder on your PC.
  4. Install “ ifunbox” app for windows PC from  http://www.i-funbox.com/ and open the software. Connect your IPAD to your PC. Click on the esword HD icon in “All my Apps” category as below.

  5. When new window opens up click on “Application support” and you will find a list of Esword HD modules already installed on your ipad. Now you have to add the  converted bible module file that you just created in step 3 into this list, so that esword HD can use it. So click on “Copy from PC” and go the original folder were you located the bible file for conversion. You should find another new file with the same file name but with .bbli extension. Select this file and the file transfer of the converted file to IPAD is done.

  6. Congratulations now your bible module file should show up in the "Application support list" displayed on the PC screen, which means it is installed now on IPAD. Now you may test this by opening the Esword HD software from your IPAD and the new bible should appear in the bible list.

Note :You can use a similar strategy to convert your commentaries sets, dictionaries etc by the selecting the right option in “Type” drop down menu of the e-sword HD module convert utility.

Sharing my own notes between Ipad and PC

I'm new to this whole thing but find the resources excellent and use them on a regular basis. Now I have an Ipad I make notes on individual verses and would like to transfer such notes to my PC and vice versa. Apart from emailing individual verses, I cannot see a way of sharing my own notes between my different installations. Anyone solved this issue?

Developing the idea further, with so much emphasis upon Cloud storage, is this something that deevelopers might contemplate or is it too big a job?

Thanks

Problem with downloaded module .brpx

I just downloaded the Professor Horner's daily Bible reading plan module, but I can't get it to appear anywhere in e-sword. It is a .brpx file, which I haven't seen before. I moved the downloaded file into my e-sword folder, but it still won't come up in e-sword (at least, not anywhere I can see). Where would this file show up, and how can I get it to open in e-sword?

Thank you.

I have a 3rd party version of NKJV (.bb24) that isn't the same as the .bblx form of most Esword Bible files, and I was trying to figure out a way to use this file in Esword. I don't mind purchasing the BibleSupport version from Thomas Nelson, but since I have this one: does anyone have any suggestions or thoughts?
