Trouble formatting the Content Listing for my Module on Bible Support

$

Notice:  I am having trouble formatting the listing for my module

on this website.  The module is "New Testament Restoration Commentary 2.7"

The content listing for the module is all garbled for the Content Listing for

James through the Book of Revelation.  Cannot understand why.  Could use

some help from some of you experienced users.  When I am editing the listing

and formatting the text online everything looks good while in the Editor.  But

after I click on the "SUBMIT" button, what displays on my screen is all garbled

for James through the Book of Revelation.

I have tried viewing the listing for this module in Google Chrome, Windows Edge

and in Microsoft Explorer and the listing looks the same in all three browsers.  The

only browser I haven't tried viewing it in is Firefox.  When in the edit mode on Bible

Support I copied the Content Listing (or Module Description) into Microsoft Word

and saved it as a Web Page and also as a '.RTF' file.  The HTM page looks as it

should in my various browsers, so I have uploaded this content listing as a '.RTF'

file to the Download area for the Module.

My QUESTION IS:  HOW DO I CLEAN UP THE LISTING ON BIBLE SUPPORT???

i HAVE TRIED NUMEROUS TIMES TO FORMAT THE LISTING and this Website

just will not let me.  Can someone help with ideas and suggestions?

I have tried to copy the info from the '.HTM' copy of the listiing, and paste it into the

Bible Support Editor and nothing changes!!  I have done the same using the '.RTF'

version of the listing (which I posted) and still nothing changes.  When I try to edit

the Content Listing/Description for the Module, it looks fine withing the Editor, but

when I submit the information (Clicking the SUBMIT button) the listing for my content

is all messed up with a bunch of '.HTM' and/or '.RTF' Coding.

ANY SUGGESTIONS??  Please help....Would like for users to be able to view

a "legible" listing for my module.  I have attached the Content listing for this module.

Thanks.....

I updated to e-Sword X 6.3 some time ago.

Yesterday was the first time that I had the need to search on a tag and create a new custom one.

To my surprise, there were a heap of new Tags been added to this update, BUT every one of my custom tags has gone.

This represents years of study, creating custom tags and linking hundreds of verses to them.

Does anyone know of any way to retrieve them - maybe from a hidden file that is still in the system. I'm grabbing at straws here, but I'm desperate!

Not sure why e-Sword didn't protect the tags with this update as I've not had this issue before.

I've sent an email to e-Sword asking the same as above, but thought it worth asking here - just in case.

Many thanks and blessings,

Wayne.

Search Terms to separate available e-Sword 8x resources

Installed e-Sword X yesterday, on a Mac Book; first for me, wen't pretty well with the help of those who were fluent with that machine, otherwise would be a horrible task for a MS user.  Now to the question, above that which is in the program download built in:  How may one construct proper syntax to separate those resources in the downloads area?

I did find the category 8x on  the drop down in advanced search, but didn't know how to use that so it returned nothing:  normally I'd think *.* but that was a dud too.  It seems to require something more than choosing 8x...

A second part to the question, if you will:  does the module installer run on those machines, or if not, how does one go about installing downloaded modules on Macs?

Thank you

King James Pure Bible Search data made into a module?

Hi, is there anyway the data from http://www.purebiblesearch.com/ can get made into a Bible module or maybe a commentary module, so for example:

Gen 1: In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth

Would be

Gen 1: In (Bi.1-Bk.1-C.1-V.1) the (Bi.2-Bk.2-C.2-V.2) beginning (Bi.3-Bk.3-C.3-V.3) God (Bi.4-Bk.4-C.4-V.4) created (Bi.5-Bk.5-C.5-V.5) the (Bi.6-Bk.6-C.6-V.6) heaven (Bi.7-Bk.7-C.7-V.7) and (Bi.8-Bk.8-C.8-V.8) the (Bi.9-Bk.9-C.9-V.9) earth. (Bi.10-Bk.10-C.10-V.10)

and another verse in the new testament would be

Mat 1: The (Bi.610282-N.1-Bk.1-C.1-V.1) book (Bi.610283-N.2-Bk.2-C.2-V.2) of (Bi.610284-N.3-Bk.3-C.3-V.3) the (Bi.610285-N.4-Bk.4-C.4-V.4) generation (Bi.610286-N.5-Bk.5-C.5-V.5) of (Bi.610287-NT.6-Bk.6-C.6-V.6) Jesus (Bi.610288-N.7-Bk.7-C.7-V.7) Christ, (Bi.610289-N.8-Bk.8-C.8-V.8) the (Bi.610290-N.9-Bk.9-C.9-V.9) son (Bi.610291-N.10-Bk.10-C.10-V.10) of (Bi.610292-N.11-Bk.11-C.11-V.11) David, (Bi.610293-N.12-Bk.12-C.12-V.12) the (Bi.610294-N.13-Bk.13-C.13-V.13) son (Bi.610295-N.14-Bk.14-C.14-V.14) of (Bi.610296-N.15-Bk.15-C.15-V.15) Abraham. (Bi.610297-N.16-Bk.16-C.16-V.16)

Bi = position of word in Bible

Bk = position of word in book

C = position of word in chapter

V = position of word in verse

N = position of word in new testament

Or perhaps this could be done from scratch, if there is a program that can assign a number next to each word in a text file?

There is some very interesting information to be found out with the word positions and it would be great to see this on my tablet via the MySword app

I will share a couple of findings...

Gen 3:8 And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God (1666th word of the Bible) amongst the trees of the garden.

The second occurrence of "God" in Gen 3:8 is the 1666th word of the Bible, which is very appropriate, because when Adam/Eve took of the fruit it left them as a god unto themselves (Gen 3:22) that which is true is now perverted by an opposing mind (Rom 8:7, Titus 1:15) a false god is born (2th 2:4), notice God says in verse 11 "Who told thee that was naked?" in response to Adam saying "i heard thy voice" here we see the beginnings of conscience, having the knowledge of good and evil which is determined by ones self (Isa 5:20-21) rather than what God's Spirit reveals (Act 11:8-9, Deu 1:39) God's Spirit sets us free from self as god.

Rev 21:5 And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all (789666th word of Bible) things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.

The word "all" in Rev 21:5 is the 789666th word of Bible. God (the true God Rev 21:3) is saying here that He will take "all" things and make them new (1Jn 2:7-8) which will result in true and faithful words, not true and faithful before because we interpreted/perverted them rather than God's Spirit interpreting to us (Joh 6:63 spirit not flesh Joh 1:14). What is "all things" This ties in with John 1:2-3

"The same was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made."

The Word which is God (Joh 1:1) is with the reader (false god 2Th 2:4, Gen 3:22) who first has a mind of flesh (Rom 8:6-8) and so will naturally not see the Word as the true living God sees His Word (1Co 2:11, Jer 23:36) which is spirit and not flesh. His worldview inner understanding of the Word will be populated from His interpretation of the Word, "all things" will be filtered through his defiled mind of flesh (Joh 1:14) "all things" must be made anew.

Notice it says "not any thing made that was made" because the works of God "all things" was finished at the very beginning (Heb 4:3, Gen 2:1-3) we must come to the end of our wisdom (go to the cross) and let Him take over interpreting His Word to us via His Holy Spirit, it is the little children who get into the kingdom of heaven, the promised land (Deu 1:39, Mat 18:3).

John 10:34-35 "Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods?  {35} If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken;"

As long as we rule by deciding good and evil aside from what is revealed by God's Holy Spirit, then we are under our own law as a ruler/god which governs what is what "he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came" and all things that we made through our interpretation will have to be made new by the true living God.

Thanks for any help.

How to Add 4 Separate Selectable eSword Startup Main Screen Pages

$

0

Can the ability to add separate eSword startup main screens pages be included in eSword?

There are times in eSword when you may need to revise your main screen start up page to view different Bibles, Commentaries, and Dictionaries.

For Instance,

1.Having too many of each item adds too many items to a page size and slows down the page response time to selecting items.

2. Doing a study of certain items needs only the designated items on a page at a time and increases the  screen usage space.

3. You can remove items not needed on your main screen and add them back  later using the progam resources area. This  takes too much time when you need to change your study areas often.

It is proposed that in addition to the existing main startup page that 4 additional main startup pages be added that can have separate Bibles, Commentaries, and Dictionaries. Each new page would be selected from a designated selection list and be  saved with its own startup information. Pages can be designated ew1s, ew2s, ew3s, and ew4s or something similar.

Thus when you want the startup page with 20 Bibles, 35 Commentaries, and 20 Dictionaries on it, you can select it. Or when you want the page with  8 Bibles, 10 Commentaries, and 7 Dictionaries you can select it. Or when you want the page with the Hebrew - Greek information items, you can select it.

Each new main startup page would be completely independent from the other start up pages.

How can we get this in eSword? What time frame would this take? This can also be a premium item that we pay for as an add on.

Are there any thoughts on this or similar?

How Can We Add The New Strongs Exhaustive Concordance of the Bible to eSword

$

In eSword, how can we add The New Strongs Exaustive Concordance of the Bible?

eSword currently has the Strong's numbers associated with the KJV Bible words and other Bible downloads. this is very good.

We need the ability to have a true type Concordance that lists every key word in the  KJV Bible except a, an, and, to, I, and similar type common items. The Concordance should list every Bible key word by each of it variations and the scriptures where the word appear.

For instance in a Concordance when looking up the word stoop, it appears as follows.

1. Stoop

    Job 9:13

    Prov 12:25

    Isa 46:2

    Mark 1:7

2. Stooped

    Gen 49:9

    1 Sam 24:8

    1 Sam 24:18

    2 Chron 32:3

    John 8:6

    John 8:8

    John 20:11

3. Stoopeth

     Isa 46:1

4. Stooping

     Luke 24:17

     John 20:5

The Concordance lists all the wordss in alphabetical order. When you do not know how to spell  the word or its different variations being used you are in trouble looking it up. In a Concordance with all the words listed, you can physically search each word and see what is what. eSword does have a very good search function; but, you must know how to spell the word. The search function shows one word at a time.

How can we get the New Strongs Exhuastive Concordance of the Bible added to eSword?

I noticed in the list of features for e-sword hd that it now has “support for multiple windows”. Can anyone comment on how this feature works? I have yet to update to ios 13.3 due to all the issues that have cropped up with the release of the new ios. Plus, I have an ipad air2 and am undecided as to whether I will update at all. I know I can but sometimes on an older device getting the latest slows everything down on the ipad.

Is anyone planning on doing a new updated formatting of Barclays Study Bible/cmti, I really use it for its historical background information when I study for teaching. But its font is very difficult to read, I would do it if I understood how to and had the time? Just curious, I am able to use what I have if need be.

Thank You in advance.

Is there a way to add a commentary to my e-Sword that isn't listed in the current menu of the version I have?

Specifically, I have Andrew Wommack's software of his Living Commentary. Not sure what would be involved or what I need to do to get that imported into my e-Sword Version 12.0.1

I have heard that there are a variety of helps for creating your own modules, including tools programmed by other users that are really quite inventive.
