I would like to request a "Jesus" KJB or NKJB BIBLE for E-Sword
I'm new to the user group, so forgive me if this question has been asked and answered a million times in a million places... Is it possible to import bibles, commentaries, dictionaries, etc. into e-Sword and use them alongside modules, one has purchased from e-Sword?
Greetings all,
I've just built a brand new system and have installed ES 12 on it, so I want to copy the data files (Bibles, etc.) from my laptop, which is up to date, to the new system; however, I noticed when opening ES on my laptop, it stated something about new locations for storing data--Onedrive or something. I then updated to ES 12 on my laptop, but I don't know where those new locations are.
Thanks,
Starkman
UPDATE:
Okay, so I found the location for the OneDrive ES folder; however, it seems to be the same as the one in Documents. Otherwise, I copied everything over to the old folders as well, and it's all working.
Could someone, thus, enlighten me about the OneDrive use? I don't use OneDrive, so I'm not sure what's going on here.
Hi,
I updated to Version 12.0.1 and it seems that I can not select font any more.
The font displayed seems to be a small size courier, not at all convenient.
I have tried Options -> Font settings but no effect.
Any suggestions?
My preference would be Arial 12pt.
Greetings
/Kjell aka Kamau
I just updated e-Sword on my Windows 10 PC. I now find that the Greek characters in my Nestle-Aland 26th/27th edition bible no longer display properly. I changed the Greek font in e-Sword to Titus Cyberbit Basic (per TJ Higgins' suggestion above) and then re-launched e-Sword, but it made no difference. Any suggestions on how I might fix this problem?
Has any one had the below problem in their Message Module? See verses 15, 16. Is it a fault or has my module been corrpted? Recently update to s-Sword 12. I have contacted eStudySource for an answer but would like to hear from others.
(Eph 6:13) Be prepared. You're up against far more than you can handle on your own. Take all the help you can get, every weapon God has issued, so that when it's all over but the shouting you'll still be on your feet.
(Eph 6:14) Truth, righteousness,
(Eph 6:15) peac
(Eph 6:16) faitng
(Eph 6:17) and salvation are more than words. Learn how to apply them. You'll need them throughout your life. God's Word is an indispensable weapon.
(Eph 6:18) In the same way, prayer is essential in this ongoing warfare. Pray hard and long. Pray for your brothers and sisters. Keep your eyes open. Keep each other's spirits up so that no one falls behind or drops out.
I have made a number of modules for e-Sword 9-10 in rtf and am just now learning some html encoding. I would like to have verse notes as pop-ups in Bible texts, similar to the notes in the "ESV with notes" module for my iPhone. The usual html coding is like this:
<span title="Literally <i>day one</i>">[1]</span>
in which the note is seen on screen as "[1]" and when one mouseovers [1] the comment about the "Literally..." shows up.
But this html coding does not seem recognized in my e-Sword modules.
Also, is there a list of codes recognized by e-Sword, such as <ref> as in <ref>Joh_3:16</ref> ? I have been able to experiment and discover some, but can a list be made available?
Some of my rtf modules are complex and have not converted well with the .dctx to .lexi conversion and I have had to do a custom conversion.
Thank you.
Andy
I have had an issue since installing 12.0 update. If I have topics on and go to webster dictionary the program locks up. Webster dictionary works fine if topics are off.
How can I get the Constable commentary in MySword format?
I tried to use the Simple Bible Reader but it cannot import the e-Sword version. The Simple Bible Reader immediately stops after importing only 1 commentary on Gen 1:1.
I have a huge collection of PDFs and EPUBs, including some digital bibles. I am trying to convert to e-sword modules and have had a heck of a time. Is there anyone or a converter that can handle pdf to module quickly besides the tool tip creator? I have attached a bible translation file for reference.
A Translation of the New Testament from the Original Greek by T Haweis
Not sure how one could convert this, would be cool to have the articles and notes be corresponding commentary.
On my iPhone when I make my selection to highlight the screen moves backward in the reference, sometimes by several pages. The first attempt takes me back the most, the second attempt takes me back again but not quite as far, and so on. This happens, as I said, some 5-6 times before I can get the highlight completed. Any thoughts?
How can i download a Croatian module to my esword?
KS(Krščanska Sadašnjost, Šarić and so on
I have downloaded two modules and for the life of me I can't figure out how to see them in esword. If the whole thing is going to be this difficult I might as well not use esword at all. Sorry, I know these are not the supported modules, but if esword is going to advertise them as being unavailable, and they don't actually work, I am left with a bitter taste in my mouth so I am unlikely to use or recommend esword in the future. I am very disappointed. The irony is, if it was working, I would probably donate to esword. As it is, I have no hope that the modules I want actually will ever work, so have lost all desire to use it when I have access to plenty of other resources. It is just not worth the pain and frustration.
